Cookies 'n Cream Freezer Cake

This is a very simple dessert that can be whipped up in matter of moments and put in the freezer until you need it.  Depending on the size of the platter you have, you can make this cake as big or as small as you want to.  My 3-year old was helping me make this, and of course, for every cookie she placed on the dish, she thought she should get to place a cookie in her mouth too!    Let me just warn you, once you make this cake, there is no going back!!  Who knew that something so easy to make could end up being so delicious?!!
You will only need 2 ingredients to make this cake:

Chocolate sandwich cookies and whipped cream!  Normally I would probably have just used Oreos and Cool Whip, but I was at Whole Foods and wanted to save a trip to a different grocery store so I went ahead and picked up these organic versions.  They actually are very delicious!  I consider myself an Oreo connoisseur, but surprisingly, I REALLY love these 365 brand cookies too!  I will have to say that the Truwhip is definitely not as tasty as homemade whipped cream or cool whip, but still good.

So to get started making the cake, just place cookies around the bottom of your dish...

Cover cookies with a giant spoonful of whipped cream and spread around...

Repeat the cookies.  If you want more of a tapered cake like I did, use less cookies on each layer...

Repeat whipped cream...

 Repeat cookies...

Again... repeat whipped cream...

Sprinkle with any crumbs that might be leftover from snacking along the way, throw it in the freezer for a few hours, and voila!
